Bern, Switzerland - ClubE31.com and 8er.ch are pleased to announce their merger, effective Monday, 28-July-2008 to form 8er.org, creating a new organization dedicated to the BMW 8 Series (E31) with over 1,000 members.

This merger represents the oldest and newest 8er owner expertise of two major E31 enthusiast communities in an effort to preserve and support BMW AG’s 1990’s era design masterpiece.: The BMW 8 Series. The vision is simple: create and nurture the best worldwide functional E31 enthusiast online presence.

ClubE31 began operations in September 2000 initially as a hobby for a French teenager. The website grew over the years into a must-see global website and consistently receives over 50,000 unique visitors per month. The 8er.ch organization launched September 2007 with a dedicated team of German and Swiss 8er owners determined to construct a world-class automobile enthusiasts’ website.

The new website incorporates over 40,000 forum posts, articles, and other information from a collective 8 years of combined operations.

The new organization will be known as 8er.org and is now online at www.8er.org representing Europe, North America, Australia/New Zealand, Middle East, and Asia.
